AI website reviews
Why not just ask ChatGPT or Claude to review your website?
Chatbots are great for ideas. A website audit needs to see your real page, measure it and prove every problem. AgoraScan uses AI too, but inside a process built for exactly that.
It sees your real page
Asking a chatbot: Most chatbots can't open your site the way a visitor does. They read some of the text, or guess from your web address, and never see the layout, the phone version or the cookie banner in the way.
AgoraScan: We open your page on a computer and a phone, and look at what your customers see.
It measures, not guesses
Asking a chatbot: A chatbot can't time your page on a phone, run accessibility tests or check which cookies load. It can only offer general advice about them.
AgoraScan: We time your page on a phone over 4G, test it for people with poor eyesight, and spot oversized photos and tracking cookies.
Every problem has proof
Asking a chatbot: You get advice with nothing to show where the problem is, and no way to tell a real issue from a confident guess.
AgoraScan: Every problem is marked on a screenshot of your page. If we can't point to it, we throw it out.
The same answer every time
Asking a chatbot: Ask twice and you'll get two different lists. The answer depends on how you word the question.
AgoraScan: We look for the same 181 published things on every site. Two separate reviews must agree before a problem counts.
It knows UK law
Asking a chatbot: General advice rarely covers what UK law expects of your website.
AgoraScan: We flag missing privacy information, cookie banners with no way to say no, hidden fees and missing company details.
A report you can act on
Asking a chatbot: A wall of text to turn into a plan yourself.
AgoraScan: A score, fixes in order, new wording shown on your page, a PDF, and a re-scan to see what improved.
Where we use AI, and where we don't
We use AI (Anthropic's Claude) to judge things only a person can, such as whether your headline says what you do or your reviews look believable, against published rules. Everything that can be measured is measured by code instead. Every AI finding is then checked against a screenshot of your page before you see it, and each one is labelled so you know how it was found.
A chatbot is still handy afterwards: paste in one of our suggested headlines and ask for variations. That's what it's good at.
